Combine multiple PDF files into a single document. Select your PDFs, arrange them in the order you want, then merge and download one PDF file.
One PDF is easier to send, upload and keep track of than a folder of separate files. People use this free online PDF merger to combine PDF documents such as:
Merging also keeps related pages together, in the order you chose, so nothing goes missing when you share them.
Generally, no. Each page is copied into the merged PDF as it is: pages are not turned into images or compressed again, so text stays selectable, pictures keep their original resolution, and the merged file keeps the original quality of every page. A page only changes if you rotate it.
Some extras that belong to the original files are not carried over. Bookmarks are left out, and fillable form fields keep what was typed in them but can no longer be edited, so complete any forms first, for example with Fill PDF Forms. If the merged file is too large to send, Compress PDF can make it smaller.
Merging happens on Utiloot's server, so your PDFs are uploaded to be combined. They are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, held in memory only while they are merged, and never written to disk; nothing is kept once the merged file has been sent back to you. You don't need an account. The Privacy Policy explains how files are handled.
Yes. Select as many PDFs as you need in one go, or add more with + Add more PDFs, and they are combined into a single PDF file. You need at least two files.
Each PDF can be up to 25 MB, and all the files in one merge can add up to 25 MB together. There is no separate limit on the number of files.
Yes. Files are merged in the order they appear in the list. On a computer, drag them into place; on a phone or tablet, add them one at a time in the order you want.
This tool arranges whole files, not single pages. To rearrange PDF pages or remove some, use Reorder PDF Pages or Delete PDF Pages, before or after merging.
It is free, with no registration, and there is nothing to install. It does need an internet connection: your PDFs are merged on Utiloot's server, so the tool cannot merge PDFs offline.
Yes. The tool runs in your web browser, so it works on Android phones, iPhones and iPads as well as on Windows, Mac and Linux computers, as long as the browser is up to date. There is no app to download.
Not directly: it accepts PDF files only. Convert other files first with Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF (.docx, .xlsx and .pptx files) or JPG/PNG to PDF, then merge the results.
Not until the password is removed. Unlock the file with Unlock PDF first, then merge it with the others.
