No. The information is stored in the pattern itself, so the code keeps working with no service behind it.

Can I put a logo in the middle?

Yes. QR codes carry error correction, so a small central icon still scans. Keep it small and test before printing.

Why will my QR code not scan?

Usually it is printed too small, has too little contrast, or lacks the quiet margin around the edge. Increase the size and keep the background plain.
